ACT Fibernet discontinues its partnership with Hooq
ACT Fibernet has revealed that it is discontinuing its partnership with streaming service HOOQ. The news came after HOOQ announced that it has shut down its operations. The operator said, “This is to inform you that due to HOOQ shutting down its operation in India, ACT Fibernet will be discontinuing its association with HOOQ going forward.” The operator has also revealed that users will not be billed for service effective May 01, 2020. The whole news came into limelight when HOOQ revealed that it is shutting down its operations.

The masks were personally handed over by Bala Malladi, CEO, ACT Fibernet, to Gautam Jain, Mayor of Bengaluru, Mohan Raju, Dy. Mayor, Manjunath Raju, Chairman, BBMP Standing Committee for Health, and Abdul Wajid, Leader, Opposition Party at the BBMP Council.

With more and more people are consuming content from OTT players, all private players such as Reliance Jio, Airtel, and Vodafone-Idea have tied up with OTT players. The state-run telecom operator BSNL has also joined hands with Hotstar to offer these benefits to its broadband and postpaid users. The ACT Fibernet has joined hands with Netlfix for its ACT Blast, ACT Storm, ACT Lighting, and ACT Incredible plans. Apart from that, the internet service provider is offering cashback worth Rs. 300 and Rs. 500 with its plans. In addition, ACT ships an Android set-top box along with 100 live channels.

The masks were personally handed over by the company CEO Bala Maddali to Mayor of Bengaluru Gautam Jain, ACT Fibernet said in a statement. The severity of the pandemic has been affecting people across Bengaluru at large, making the efforts of these health workers and staff even more critical at this juncture, it said.
