ACT Fibernet upgrades speed, data limits of select broadband plans
ACT Fibernet on Thursday said it had upgraded speed and data limits for its existing fixed term broadband users in Hyderabad and Tamil Nadu. In Hyderabad, ACT Fibernet is now offering unlimited data with A-Max 1325 and Incredible 1999 plans. The two schemes offer 300Mbps and 400Mbps speeds, respectively. The company has upgraded the data from 300GB FUP to 500GB FUP on the A-Max 500 plan. The A-Max 700 plan now offers 1000GB FUP data, up from 500GB FUP. This plan also has a revised speed from 50Mbps to 75Mbps. The A-Max 1075 plan now offers 150Mbps speed, up from 125Mbps speed.

ACT Fibernet Now Offering High-Speed Data In Bengaluru
ACT Fibernet has revised its internet plans in the Bengaluru circle. This is the second time in two months the company has made changes in its offerings earlier packs were revised in Delhi, Hyderabad, and Chennai. The revised packs now come with an increased fair usage policy, which is priced between Rs. 710 to Rs. 5,999. Notably, the company is offering 10 plans in Bengaluru. These plans are known as ACT Blaze, ACT Swift, ACT Rapid Plus, ACT Storm, ACT Lightning, ACT Incredible, ACT Essential, ACT Advance, ACT Progress, and ACT Giga. The plan of Rs. 710 is now offering 500GB of data every month instead of 250GB data earlier, where users are getting 50 Mbps speed.
TRAI Data In December: Airtel Adds 4 Million Customers
Airtel and Reliance Jio have been adding customers every quarter, while Vi (Vodafone-Idea) is losing users. However, new data released by sector regulator TRAI said that the overall subscriber base in December fell marginally as BSNL, MTNL, and Vi are losing customers. TRAI said that BSNL lost 55,909 fixed-line customers and MTNL users lost 23,277 customers. The wireless segment increased the user base with 724.46 million connections. Furthermore, Reliance Jio is serving 410.84 million customers, Airtel has only 179 million customers, Vi has 120.77 million users, BSNL has 26.32 million customers, and ACT Fibernet is offering its services 1.78 million users.
ACT Fibernet Revises FUP Limit Of Plans Without Increasing Prices
After revising plans in Chennai, Delhi and Hyderabad, ACT (Atria Convergence Technologies) Fibernet has increased the Fair Usage Policy (FUP) data limit for its users. There is no change in the prices of plans ACT is offering, but users will be able to use more data on their current plan. The increased limit can be seen in response to Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) increasing FUP limits nearly eight times on its broadband plans in a bit to attract more customers. Also, the internet consumption of users has increased due to the Covid-19 pandemic as many employees are working from home, students attending virtual classes and growing OTT content consumption.
ACT Fibernet Broadband Plans in Bengaluru Revised, Now Come With More FUP Limit
Atria Convergence Technologies Limited aka ACT Fibernet continues its revision spree. After revising the broadband plans in multiple cities like Chennai, New Delhi and Hyderabad, the country’s fourth-largest Internet Service Provider (ISP) has made some changes to its broadband plans in Bengaluru city. A total of ten broadband plans are being offered by ACT Fibernet right now in Bengaluru, and they come with up to 5.5TB or 5,500GB FUP limit. Do make a note that ACT Fibernet did not revise all the plans in the city. Instead, the company has made changes to the popular plans, especially to the ones priced below Rs 2,000. ACT Fibernet’s broadband plans in Bengaluru start at Rs 710, and they go all the way up to Rs 5,999.
