Jio Fiber Effect: ACT Fibernet Broadband Plans in Bengaluru Gets Massive Revision

Reliance Jio has finally commercially rolled out the Jio Fiber this month in India. The existing broadband operators are in a hurry to upgrade the plans and roll out new plans for its users. ACT Fibernet, one of the leading broadband service provider in the country has upgraded its broadband plans in Bengaluru today. The plans in the city until now are costlier compared to the plans in other southern cities like Hyderabad and Chennai. With the upgrade, plans in Bengaluru are stuffed with more amount of data and speed. ACT Fibernet can now offer a tough competition to Reliance Jio’s JioFiber.

Reliance JioFiber effect: ACT Fibernet launches gaming subscription service

Reliance JioFiber announced its entry into the fixed-line broadband space earlier this month and the existing players have already begun tweaking and launching additional services to take on the looming storm. In response to zero-latency gaming promised by Jio Fiber, ACT Fibernet has launched two new gaming packs in two subscriptions in India- one month and for six months, and the benefits differ with each pack.

ACT enters TRAI's top 5 broadband players list

South Indian wired broadband internet services provider Atria Convergence Technologies Limited was among Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) list of top 5 broadband internet services providers in the month ended 31 July 2019 (Jul-19, month or period under consideration). ACT added approximately 20,000 subscribers during the month under consideration to reach a subscriber base of 0.147 crore (14.7 million, 1.47 million). Also, You Broadband with 0.075 crore (7.5 lakh, 0.75 million) wired broadband subscribers, re-entered TRAI’s list of top 5 wired broadband internet players with the exit of the public sector MTNL from that list.

The Gaming pack is a subscription service for gamers that will be made available in two variants – A-Game Basic (monthly) and A-Game Ultra (six-month variant) and is built with many first-to-India features like Speed on Demand, Data Boost etc. Those who have subscribed to the Gaming Pack can improve their plan speed on demand through their “SpeedBoost” feature.
