At ACT, we believe that we have the biggest responsibility towards our life-giving planet. We use our environment and all its resources without any limitations, so it is only fair that we take every step to protect it from irreparable harm. The initiatives that we have collectively undertaken to do our bit for our environment include donating dustbins for waste segregation, contributing to e-toilet initiatives, taking up park development and maintenance responsibilities, contributing our resources for setting up RO plants for making clean drinking water accessible in slums. We also constantly strive to reduce our carbon footprint by taking energy efficient measures at an organizational level. We make use of every opportunity to work with local authorities and NGOs to get the best possible results from our environment-friendly initiatives.
Water is a basic necessity but for many it’s an expensive one and not very accessible. The struggle to get clean drinking water for people with poor economic conditions is real so they often ignore the quality of the water they are consuming, which in return strongly affects their health, immunity and opens more ways for water borne diseases to attack them. We at ACT Fibernet are making sure that these people consume clean and pure drinking water at lower prices easily by installing water purification plants.
Open defecation is an open invitation to not one but a heap of dangers and in a developing country like ours it’s vital to get rid of it. So following the amazing trail led by the government’s Swatch Bharat Abhiyan, we are doing our bit to eliminate this serious problem of open defecation which comes with a pile of hazards that can severely affect the surroundings. E-toilets installed by us are now helping senior citizens and the underprivileged defecate easily in a hygienic way.
Taking care of our body is an essential part of living but not all are able to access expensive gyms to stay fit. Our concern for everyone’s good living and health made us provide the local population with open gyms at parks and a cleaner environment, so they too are able to take care of their health at ease without spending unnecessary money. We also work towards creating awareness amongst the population so that physical fitness and good health practices become their first priority.
